Transliteration
Oṃ asato mā sad gamaya, tamaso mā jyotir gamaya, mṛtyor mā amṛtaṃ gamaya, Oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ.
Translation
Om. Lead me from the unreal to the real; from darkness to light; from death to immortality. Om, peace, peace, peace.
Meaning
One of the best-loved Upanishadic prayers — a longing to move from illusion to truth, from ignorance to light, from mortality to the deathless. A comfort in grief and uncertainty.
