Vakratunda Mahakaya
वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभ । निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा ॥
Transliteration
Vakratuṇḍa mahākāya sūryakoṭi samaprabha, nirvighnaṃ kuru me deva sarvakāryeṣu sarvadā.
Translation
O Lord with the curved trunk and mighty body, whose radiance equals ten million suns, please make all my endeavours free of obstacles, always.
Meaning
The classic invocation recited before beginning any task, worship, or journey. Ganesha is Vighnaharta, the remover of obstacles; this verse asks that every undertaking proceed smoothly.
