Transliteration

Oṃ Gaṃ Gaṇapataye Namaḥ.

Translation

Om. Salutations to Ganapati (Ganesha), the lord of all.

Meaning

The root (mula) mantra of Ganesha. 'Gam' is his seed syllable (bija). Simple enough to repeat as japa on a mala.

Benefits

Removes obstacles, sharpens focus, and is easy to memorise for daily practice.

When to Recite

As repeated japa (108 times), or before any important task requiring a clear, focused mind.
