वसुदेवसुतं देवं कंसचाणूरमर्दनम् । देवकीपरमानन्दं कृष्णं वन्दे जगद्गुरुम् ॥
Transliteration
Vasudevasutaṃ devaṃ kaṃsacāṇūramardanam, devakīparamānandaṃ kṛṣṇaṃ vande jagadgurum.
Translation
I bow to Krishna, the divine son of Vasudeva, destroyer of Kamsa and Chanura, the supreme bliss of Devaki, the teacher of the whole world.
Meaning
A classic salutation to Krishna as the world-teacher (Jagadguru), recalling the joy of his birth. A favourite morning verse and a blessing for children.
